Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) – Provides rental and homeownership assistance to low-income households to rent or purchase decent, safe housing in the private housing market.

Project Based Vouchers (PBV) – Provides rental assistance to low-income households residing in privately owned and managed buildings. Some project-based vouchers have open waitlists and some have a waiting list of one to four years on average, depending on county and availability of vouchers.

Section 8 to Homeownership: Must be a Section 8 participant for at least one year, and be a first-time homebuyer, or single-displaced homemaker. Voucher assistance would be moved from rental housing to homeownership assistance. Other requirements apply.
